Your journey to French Polynesia is an international trip, so there are a few important things to take care of before you leave home.
We want your focus to be on the music, the islands and the experience ahead. Taking care of your travel documents early will help ensure a smooth journey from the moment you leave home to the time you return.
Travel requirements can change, and requirements may vary depending on your citizenship, connecting airports and individual circumstances. It is each guest's responsibility to make sure they have all required documentation before traveling.
We strongly recommend checking the most current requirements well in advance of your departure.
A valid passport is required for international travel to French Polynesia.
For U.S. citizens traveling to French Polynesia, your passport should have at least six months of validity remaining and at least one blank page available for entry stamps.
Before your trip, take a moment to check the expiration date on your passport. If it is approaching expiration, we recommend renewing it well before your travel dates.
Do not wait until the last minute to renew your passport.
Visa and entry requirements depend on your citizenship and the countries you may travel through before or after the cruise.
U.S. citizens traveling to French Polynesia for tourism generally do not need a tourist visa for stays of 90 days or less. Travelers should also have a return or onward ticket.
If you are not a U.S. citizen, or if your travel plans include additional countries before or after the cruise, your requirements may be different.
Please verify the requirements that apply specifically to you before traveling.
Redwood Travel Partners and Rick Braun are unable to determine individual visa requirements or obtain travel documents on behalf of guests. Each traveler is responsible for obtaining all necessary passports, visas and other required documentation, including any associated fees.
For the most current information, consult the appropriate government or immigration authority for your citizenship and destination.
Your passport may not be the only documentation you need for your journey.
Depending on your circumstances, you may need additional documents such as:
Passport
Visa or entry authorization
Airline and cruise travel documents
Proof of onward or return travel
Documentation for minors traveling internationally
Legal documentation related to name changes or other personal circumstances
Any health or vaccination documentation required at the time of travel
Keep your important travel documents accessible while traveling. Do not pack your passport or other essential documents in checked luggage.
Failure to have the proper documentation may result in being denied boarding or entry into a destination. Guests who are unable to travel because they do not have the required documentation are not entitled to a refund from Rick Braun or Redwood Travel Partners.
PROTECT YOUR TAHITI ADVENTURE
A trip to French Polynesia is a significant investment. Travel insurance can help protect that investment if unexpected circumstances affect your plans.
Coverage may be available for certain situations including trip cancellation or interruption, travel delays, lost or delayed baggage and medical emergencies. Coverage varies by plan, so it is important to carefully review the policy terms, conditions, exclusions and limits before purchasing.
Redwood Travel Partners recommends Allianz Travel Insurance as its preferred travel insurance provider. You can explore available plans, obtain a quote and purchase coverage through Redwood's travel insurance resources.
Travel insurance is optional unless otherwise required by your specific travel arrangements. However, we strongly encourage every guest to consider coverage for this international journey.
If you take prescription or other medications, we recommend traveling with an adequate supply and keeping medications in their original labeled containers.
International regulations regarding medications can vary. If you have questions about traveling internationally with a specific medication, consult your physician, pharmacist or the appropriate government authority before departure.
As we get closer to November 2028, travel and entry requirements may change.
We recommend checking your passport expiration date now and reviewing the applicable requirements again before departure.
For the most current information about traveling to French Polynesia, consult the U.S. Department of State and other applicable government resources.
